FARE Conferences coming up!

FARE Conferences are coming up and I do want to encourage people to attend.  It should be very informative!

Have You Registered for Our Conferences?
Our first Food Allergy Conference is less than two weeks away in Oak Brook, IL. On May 4, we’re gathering national experts in the field of food allergy to discuss food allergy management, research, safety at school, emotional support and more. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing food allergies for years, FARE’s Food Allergy Conference offers something for everyone.

“When someone in your family is diagnosed with a food allergy, life can change drastically. All of a sudden, there is an immediate need to not only understand the disease itself, but to learn how to navigate new challenges in the social world, which so often revolves around food,” said Ruchi Gupta, M.D., M.P.H., associate professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and author of “The Food Allergy Experience.” “I encourage families managing food allergies to come to one of FARE’s Food Allergy Conferences – they will walk away with new knowledge that will help them live life well with food allergies.”

We are also excited to offer a teen track for teens with food allergies and their siblings. This unique program for pre-teens, teens, and young adults will be moderated by Teen Advisory Group Members and FARE staff. The program provides an agenda to connect with peers dealing with food allergies, discuss new and important issues faced during adolescence and young adulthood, and learn helpful strategies as they gain more independence and personal responsibility for their food allergies.

We hope you’ll join us! If you can’t make it to Oak Brook, we’d love to see you in Arlington, VA on May 18 or Anaheim, CA on June 1. For more information on sessions, speakers or to register, visit www.foodallergy.org.
