Article in the Chicago Tribune about our SMART project

Though most of this blog has focused on my work on food allergy, I also have a number of research projects investigating and attempting to address asthma disparities here in Chicago.  One exciting asthma project just wrapped up phase one last month.  In this project, which we call our Student Media-based Asthma Research Team (SMART) intervention, we worked with a group of students with asthma from Back of the Yards, a predominantly Mexican-American neighborhood on Chicago's southwest side to educate their community about asthma.  Check out this article that the Chicago Tribune published about our program!
